40 years of EVERS WATER TECHNOLOGY and FILTER MATERIALS
Founded in 1971 as an engineering office Evers quickly became a full-range supplier of chemicals and filter materials not only for public and private swimming pools but especially for drinking water treatment, industrial- and waste water filtration.
Since 1977, EVERS WATER TECHNOLOGY and FILTER MATERIALS has been producing EVERZIT® N (EN 12909) from North German anthracite using its own process and special screening techniques. With this pure natural product, mined at a depth of nearly 1,400 meters, EVERS has revolutionized multi-layer filtration. EVERZIT® N has proven its particular qualities for applications in open and closed high speed filtering plants according to DIN 19605. It fulfils all requirements of modern water treatment and filtration technologies:
As the top layer above filter sand or basalt, EVERZIT® N is used primarily for multi-layer filtration. In all sorts of different water treatment plants EVERZIT® N is worldwide recognized for its excellent quality. In combination with sand or basalt as lower layer EVERZIT® N improves the removal of iron/manganese of nearly all kinds of flocculation filtration as well as rapid decarbonization.
Also in the largest seawater desalination plants in the world, EVERZIT® N is preliminary used in the prefiltration for the removal of turbidities, because of its high purity. It does not release any silicic acid to the water; thus the service life of the membranes in the reverse osmosis process is increased by a multiple.
Around the globe more than 20 billion litres of drinking water are being filtered daily with EVERZIT® filter materials.
